Check out our new gaming area

We’ve moved our gaming section to the front of the store, redid the displays and are in the process of restocking and reloading. Why did we do this? It’s not just because we like moving stuff. The idea is that coupled with our newly redone game room downstairs, the gaming area being in front will allow us to keep the front of the store open on big gaming nights. That means you’ll be able to buy gaming supplies, snacks and use the newly redone upstairs bathroom.

Experience Marbutopia

Time Machine just got in a shipment of the excellent marble run, Marbutopia. Educational and fun these are literally flying off the shelves. We also stock a number of other marble run products, but the Marbutopia items seem to have outpaced them all in popularity. We’ve got plenty, so come down and check them out.

Razzles not so dazzling

Ordering candy has to be one of the most fun aspects of working at Time Machine. We usually discuss which products we might want to get at our morning meeting and the debate can get spirited. A few months ago, we made the decision to bring in Razzles, the classic candy that turns into a gum. I was pretty excited and bought a pack when they first came in. Sadly, the candy did not live up to my memories and was a chalky mess that later turned into a wimpy gum. Much of the staff disagreed and Razzles have been flying off our shelves. If there’s something you’d like us to try to get, just ask.

If you’re looking to get a Lionel order in, the new catalogs are here. Orders must be placed by September 4, 2008 since Time Machine has to get its order in by September 5. This stuff sells out quickly, so if you don’t get your pre-order in you may very well miss out.

Come see our stamps

Time Machine’s new, and growing, stamp collector’s department has just received a lot of used definitive stamps to divide into packets. These are exceptionally clean stamps. They’re mostly uncancelled as they were used on precancelled and non-profit mail.

Looking to get into slot cars but don’t know where to start? Time Machine just got a new shipment of Carerra’s GO line. This entry-level hobbyist line starts under $70 and offers a risk-free way to try the hobby. The kits are expandable and we offer a new of different set choices including Batman and Speed Racer branded sets.

A new shipment of Lego products just arrived. We’ve got new Bionicle, lots of new small sets — perfect for gifts and a few things we’ve never had before.

Who’ll stop the rain?

Time Machine was in the midst of a successful tag sale on Saturday when the skies opened up, ruining our carefully made plans. Fortunately, we plan to try the whole thing again in a few weeks. We’ll post details when we get them and want to thank everyone who helped us move everything inside as the rain started to fall.

Tag sale Saturday, August 2

Come down to Time Machine on Saturday, August 2 for our first ever tag sale. We’ll be emptying out our warehouse to bring you some great deals and truly unique items. We’ll have specials throughout the store and fantastic savings. In addition to RC, models, collectibles and toys, we’ll also have some pretty weird stuff like Yoda bath gel and anime figurines. The sale runs from 10-6 at 71 Hilliard St. in Manchester.

Game room nearly done

The new floor has been finished in Time Machine’s downstairs game room. Now, all that remains is to wax the floor and get the tables back in place. In addition to the great looking new floor, we also plan on redoing the lighting to brighten up the whole room. Hopefully, everything should be in place for game night on Thursday, July 31. We appreciate the patience shown by our loyal gaming fans, but we believe you will all find the improvements worth the wait.
